Winterfest 2005 - Hazleton, PA
Eagle Rock Ski Resort, just south of Hazleton, will play host to Winterfest 2005 this year on Saturday, February 26th.
Winterfest, a day filled with activities such as snow tubing, skiing, horseshoes tournements, beginning at 9AM, as well as rock concerts starting at 6PM; all to benefit the Hazleton chapter of the American Red Cross.
The Monsters of Rock Ultimate 80's Tribute Band will perform from 9:30PM til 1:30AM at the resorts base lodge. Prizes will be awarded for the best 80's outfit in the audience. Opening entertainment for the Monsters, will be another area band, the Good Spirits Club, performing their brand of classic rock. Admission for the shows will be a donation to the charity. Food and beverages will be available throughout the day.
Brian Earley, chairman of the event, extended a warm invitation to the public to not miss this great show, noting that the Monsters of Rock played to a full house at First Night Hazleton and have been pulling in crowds of supporters ever since!
According to Joyce Bradbury of the Red Cross, the local chapter has responded to 7 fires and an ice storm, all since December 16, 2004, and with 51 open cases, their funds are depleting quickly.

Directions to Winterfest 2005:
Take Exit 143 off I-81, take Rt 924 South 4.1m, the entrance to Eagle Rock Ski Resort is on the right. Turn into main driveway and stop at guardshack. Let them know you're here for Winterfest event.
From the guard shack, go straight 0.7m to stop sign and turn Right onto Walden Drive. Go down MASSIVE hill (watch for speed bumps!) 0.9m and turn Right at sign for base lodge.
