Lightning Strikes Twice for Local Band

It was less than a year ago that the Hazleton based band, Monsters of Rock got the news that they were slated to open for national recording artists Eric Brittingham and Jeff Labar of the popular 80's metal band Cinderella.
The euphoria was short lived, however, as their their hopes were dashed a few weeks later, when contractual conflicts with Cinderella prevented the local group from being added to the bill.
"I felt terrible", says Mike Gladdau, owner of Goodfellas Entertainment Warehouse, in Pottsville. I knew the Monsters were the right band for the job, but there were last minute complications at the agency level. There was nothing I could do."
Monsters of Rock drummer, Vick Lutsky explained, "We were understandably disappointed, of course. It was one of those once in a lifetime opportunities, and it came and went before we even had a chance."
"Mike told us he'd bring us in the next time he had an 80's show lined up, and sure enough, a couple weeks ago we got the call! Well, actually it was an email. Short and sweet ….

…oh, and I got the OK to add you to the bill, if you want'…
"Well", said Lutsky, "that was a no-brainer! The rush was amazing and the entire Monster line up is really excited! Afterall, Goodfellas is one of the largest club venues in Schuylkill County and we're about to become a part of the 2006 Rock Never Stops tour!"
Local fans can see the band perform on March 4th, when they return to Hazleton for a special homecoming performance to be held at Genetti's Best Western on Rt. 309.
Monsters Of Rock is Vick Lutsky (Vikki Stixx), Mark Hydock (the Mad Professor), Ian Whitcomb (Shy Guy), Tran Tumbelty (Tranimal), Dani Magill (Nurse Dani) and Jim Penkala (the Hit Man).
