Sunday, June 18th

Drums, Pennsylvania - Mark your calendars! Coming June 18th (Father's Day) is “Shaunfest” at Mountain Speedway, which is brought to you by many folks from Mountain Speedway who have put forth an effort to help Shaun “The Wallbanger” Burd and his family after a serious work related injury. With only a $10 cover charge for ages 6 and older (under 5 admitted for free) at the gate and plenty of local talent on hand, ‘Shaunfest’ will definitely be the outdoor concert to attend. “Shaunfest” will be rain or shine.

Since his accident, Shaun has been released from the hospital and is recovering at home. After sustaining third degree burns on almost one quarter of his body, Shaun has a long road of physical therapy and recovery ahead. Luckily, Burd has been released earlier than expected and can spend time with his girlfriend, Kareen, who is nine months pregnant with their first child.

The musical groups scheduled to perform live at “Shaunfest” are:

Monsters of Rock
Emily's Toybox
YMI
Farmer's Daughter
Nemesis
Note: Other bands may be added.
Bands are scheduled from 12:30- PM through 7:00 PM.

Along with the variety of music, there will also be a Chinese auction with many new items that have been donated. There will be a dunk tank, so race fans and concertgoers can dunk their favorite drivers and track officials. Games, door prizes and a 50/50 drawing are also planned for the event. If they wish, people who are planning to attend can also bring small baby shower type items, or gift cards.

Food and small coolers are also welcome. Concessions will also be available at the track's popular concession area. Those who plan to attend are asked to bring their own lawn chairs, as the stage will be set up in victory lane on the track. Spectators may also sit in the front stretch grandstands.

All profits from “Shaunfest” will benefit Shaun Burd and his family.
