Spotlight On ...Jolynda!
I was born in Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania in 1978 and raised in the Back Mountain with a family that is musically talented. Dad is a self-taught 12-string acoustic guitar player and has a powerful voice that is unmistakably his alone. Mom has more of a soft and sweet voice, which must be more of what I inherited. Kind of ironic that I would end up singing with an 80's rock band!
Anyway, we went to nursing homes where Dad would sing and play, Mom would sing harmony and I would just sing along as best I could and look cute…hahaha. The first place I ever held a microphone was at church, and I wasn't even two years old. The pastor would let me sing specials every few Sundays, and then have a hard time getting me to give the microphone back. Some things never change!
Then in school I always had a solo of some sort, ended up going to district chorus, and writing the Graduation song for the class of 1996. I participated in anything pertaining to music and was always writing and performing originals. In fact, while living in Oklahoma, I sang lead vocals for a few bands and wrote most of the songs they still perform.
Also, I am the fourth member of Monsters of Rock who owns their own business, and understands the value of hard work and making your customers (and fans) happy. Sooooo, if there's anything I can do to make you happy, let me know! (Oh wait a sec….MUSICALLY speaking, of course!)
